What are French macarons?
Delicate and airy, the French Macaron has an almond, sugar and egg whites-based shell. The shells have a light, crunchy texture on the outside and are slightly chewy on the inside. These shells are held together by a filling, typically made from ganache, buttercream, or jam.
How big are your macarons?
We make our macarons to a diameter of about 3.75 cm. What’s important, however, isn’t the size, but flavour.
What are the ingredients in each macaron?
The core ingredients are Egg White, Almond Powder and Caster Sugar.
What is the best way to store macarons?
We recommend that you store macarons in an airtight container and if storing overnight keep in a dry cool area. We do not recommend refrigerating them as they will absorb moisture and soften.
Can I freeze your macarons?
Yes you can, we would not freeze them for more then around 2-3 weeks.
How long will Galeta's macarons stay fresh?
Our macarons stay fresh for up to 12 hours.
Do your macarons have any artificial ingredients?
No, our macarons do not contain any artificial ingredients, and we only use natural food colourings.
Do you sell macarons at your London market stalls?
We do sell macarons at some of our London markets, you can also order online , for collection or next day delivery.
